My Journey

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!!!"

The Kite Runner

The kite runner is my favorite book of 2008. I didn’t think I would like it but I couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. This book really moved me in the most subtle ways....

It describes how a son longing for his father’s approval and love. It talks about the love and bond between two young children, about the fears we have all faced as children, and the choices we all make to survive and redemption.

On another level, it broadened my views on Afghanistan and countries like it and enlightened my understanding of Americans of this decent.

For anyone seeking a book that keeps you in suspense and turning pages, a book you can not put down, The Kite Runner comes highly recommended! :-)
