It was an important day, so I took a day off from work.
In the afternoon, I picked up the information packet and started filling out almost 20 pages of information. No kidding… lots of forms and letters to sign and fill out.
After all information was filled out, I visited different booth and signed up to volunteer for science fair and fieldtrip helper.
Even thou, I work full-time, but I am blessed to have a manager who understands the importance of balancing work and family. I am grateful to have the flexibility to take time off from work and help out with Darren’s school.
I then went home and picked up Darren and drove back to school to meet his teacher.
His school is very new. It was built 3 years ago.
As we walked around the building, I noticed the lively decorations with inviting atmosphere and friendly staff and teachers. Finally, we arrived at his classroom, we met his new teacher - Mrs.Dent.
Mrs. Dent has giggly laugh and warm personality.
We talked for a while, took pictures and it was time to say good-bye.
Overall, I am very pleased with this school and I hope Darren will have a wonderful year at his new school.
